Process Safety Management (PSM) Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Safety Management (PSM) Supervisor to lead our efforts in maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance within our manufacturing operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of process safety protocols to prevent incidents involving hazardous materials and ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Your expertise will drive compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while fostering a culture of safety excellence across the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety practices at a strategic level, ensuring operational integrity and safeguarding our workforce.

Duties

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive process safety management systems aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as OSHA, EPA.
• Ensure PSM/RMP program elements are in place and effective
• Conduct regular hazard assessments, root cause analyses, and incident investigations to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions proactively.
• Oversee training programs with the refrigeration teams to ensure all training and annual physicals are completed timely.
• Perform and ensure PHAs are performed, and recommendations are tracked, resolved, and documented in a timely manner. Organize required action items and assign accountability, due dates, create work orders, track and collect documented corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed report writing on safety audits, incident investigations, compliance status, and improvement initiatives for internal review and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety awareness, employee health (regulatory compliance standards), and environmental responsibility.
• Work with contractors on required audits for the ammonia refrigeration system.
• Schedule all compliance audits and PSM program information.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, environmental management systems, and hazardous materials regulations.
• Associates degree, bachelors degree prefered
• Strong expertise in occupational health, environmental health, workplace safety practices, and regulatory/legal compliance standards in production environments.
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and report writing related to safety incidents or compliance issues.
• Excellent training & development skills to educate employees on safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Effective communication skills for conducting safety training sessions, preparing reports, and collaborating with regulatory agencies.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
