PROCESS TECHNICIAN 3RD SHIFT

1. Assist production with troubleshooting compression, transfer, and injection molding processes, including process issues affecting safety, quality, scrap, downtime, productivity, or customer requirements.

2. Provide hands-on support, coaching, and technical guidance to production employees and supervisors regarding job tasks, process requirements, and work instructions.

3. Develop, update, review, and maintain work instructions, process documentation, job-task documentation, and related records for molded-parts operations.

4. Coordinate mold repair needs, mold concerns, or process-related tooling issues with the tool shop, production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and supervision as needed.

5. Coordinate and document trial material sampling, engineering changes, process changes, mold changes, and related production trials.

6. Support continuous improvement projects related to safety, quality, scrap reduction, cycle time, labor efficiency, process stability, material usage, and workflow improvement.

7. Use knowledge of SMC, BMC, TMC, fiberglass-containing materials, molding processes, and production equipment to help identify process concerns and practical improvements.

8. Assist with evaluation of new materials, process adjustments, tooling changes, equipment changes, and production methods as assigned.

9. Use computer systems, Microsoft Office, production records, process documentation, and company-designated systems to maintain accurate information and support data-based decisions.

10. Use hand tools, power tools, vibrating tools, and basic production-support equipment as needed and within training and authorization.

11. Communicate process concerns, training needs, documentation needs, mold issues, material concerns, quality issues, and improvement opportunities to supervision and affected departments.

12. Follow all company safety rules, PPE requirements, lockout/tagout awareness requirements, quality procedures, housekeeping expectations, and site requirements.

13. Maintain organized and accurate documentation related to work instructions, trials, engineering changes, process improvements, and assigned projects.

14. Perform other related duties as assigned.
