Process Technician

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Technician to join our dynamic injection molding manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing machine parameters, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Optimization & Validation: Conduct rigorous process validation and testing to meet strict customer specifications and establish standard operating machine parameters.
• Tooling & Fixture Development: Design, develop, or modify jigs, fixtures, and auxiliary equipment to streamline and enhance the molding production process.
• Resource Planning: Determine critical process requirements, including machine tonnage capacity, required tooling, and auxiliary equipment.
• New Product Development Support: Collaborate closely with Process Engineers during the prototyping and development phases to establish robust manufacturing standards.
• Troubleshooting & Downtime Reduction: Utilize strong analytical skills to quickly diagnose and resolve machine issues, minimizing downtime on the shop floor.

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background

• Graduate of a vocational or technical course (e.g., Mechatronics, Electronics, or Mechanical Technology); OR
• College undergraduate / Bachelor’s degree holder in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Professional Experience

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a Process Technician or Mold Setter in an injection molding environment.
• Proven expertise in setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting machine parameters.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Comprehensive knowledge of various injection molding machine types and systems.
• Familiarity with process validation, evaluation, and lean practices to eliminate non-value-adding activities.
• Ability to design and fabricate production jigs, fixtures, and auxiliary tools.

Soft Skills & Work Ethic

• Strong problem-solving and analytical aptitude for rapid troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination, documentation, and reporting.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and handle physical requirements on the manufacturing floor.
