Auto Cast Inc. is a privately held premier high pressure die casting manufacturer specializing in Aluminum and Zinc products. We are a IATF 16949 certified tier one supplier to the automotive industry as well as the furniture, marine, consumers goods, plumbing, gaming and security market industries!

Overview:

The Process Technician will be responsible for setting up, monitoring and optimizing the die cast machines and work cells in order to maximize shot repeatability, eliminate defects and ensure safe operations. The right person for the job will have strong problem-solving skills, an understanding of aluminum die casting processes and machinery, as well as experience with PLC and robot programming.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Setup and establish Visi-Trak to monitor diecast machines

2. Assist maintenance with maintaining and repairing the equipment associated with the Visi-Trak shot monitoring system

3. Assist maintenance with troubleshooting diecast machines using Visi-Trak

4. Assist production personnel in establishing master shot profiles for each machine/job combination

5. Assist production in the development of setup sheets and other process documentation necessary

6. Train production personnel on the use of Visi-Trak

7. Assist engineering in new tool designs and tooling improvements

8. Troubleshoot new and existing jobs to improve costs, quality and productivity

9. Improve existing processes to increase productivity, cut costs, and improve quality

10. Maintain all tools and material in an organized manner including 5S

11. Any other duties that management deems necessary for optimum productivity

12. Practice all safety procedures and properly use LOTO and wear required PPE

Requirements:

1. Basic computer experience (DOS applications and windows)

2. Basic math skills

3. Basic electrical and hydraulic experience

4. Minimum 3 years diecast experience

5. Willing to attend classes and seminars as needed

6. Willing to work any and all shifts and all overtime needed

Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour
