Process Technician

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

The Process Technician supports the Process Engineer in all activities related to cost savings initiatives, including molding cycle time, scrap, machine utilization, and resins.

Role and Responsibilities

Reduce molding cycle time and reject rate

• Develop most cost effective resin blends.
• Develop process conditions to use the most cost effective resin blends.

Develop molding processes of all new products and/or molds

• Collaborate with others to obtain best machine uptime.
• Troubleshoot process problems.
• Operate injection molding machines.
• Ensure and enforce compliance to all legal regulations and company policies.

Position Requirements

• Experience: Minimum High School.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a plastics processing environment.
• Licenses/Certification: Certification in Industrial Technology is preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Possess good teamwork skills.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Work Conditions

• Drive fork lifts.
• Lift 50 pounds.

Training, Safety and PPE Requirements

All employees will receive training in our ISO management systems, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015; as well as all OSHA & Safety required trainings in accordance with their job duties/department.

All employees are required to adhere to the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements on production floor set forth by the EHS & Management Team. Employees are required to wear 3 forms of PPE when entering production:

• Safety Glasses – ANSI Z87.
• Ear Plugs.
• Safety Shoes – steel toe, Composite, Alloy. Shoe covers are meant for visitors only and are not acceptable as safety shoes for employees unless approved by safety.

Dependent on the station/department that the employee works, more PPE can be required.
