Process Technician

Brief Description The Process Technician is responsible for monitoring and improving the manufacturing process. Along with this, they monitor and adjust machine parameters, report equipment malfunctions, and observe and test batch quality.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and solves issues or problems with equipment/process. Troubleshoots possible causes and coordinates the activities of maintenance, production, and other available resources to implement cost effective solutions.
• Assists in developing, designing, and communicating manufacturing processes.
• Monitors and revises processes to help generate cost savings and improve the quality and efficiency of product/process.
• Assists in design reviews to improve the ability to manufacture products.
• Provides coordination of new process installation and process changes.
• Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.

• Education and Experience
• High school diploma; AA degree in process engineering or related preferred.
• 3+ years of experience related experience preferred.
• Good computer skills desired.
• Understanding of the CIMPRO system is desired.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions Contacts: Internal – Continuously (67 - 100%) External – Occasionally (< 33%)

Contacts involve giving or exchanging information of a limited controversial nature.

Regularly

• Communicates via phone, email, in person
• Required to sit, walk, stand for prolonged periods of time
• Required to reach with arms and hands.

Frequently

• Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Talk and hear to coordinate day-to-day in person transactions.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. of materials.

Occasionally

• Position may require travel.
• Operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine and printer.

Standard production environment. The noise level is usually moderate due to production equipment.
