Process Technician

Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Injection Molding Process & Maintenance Technician to support molding operations and equipment reliability. This role combines machine setup, process troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter who can work independently and help improve process consistency, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, start up, and troubleshoot injection molding machines.
• Establish and maintain stable process parameters to ensure consistent part quality.
• Identify and correct molding defects and reduce scrap.
• Perform mold changes and production changeovers.
• Troubleshoot hot runners, heaters, thermocouples, and valve-gate systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on injection molding equipment.
• Troubleshoot auxiliary equipment, including dryers, loaders, chillers, robots, and conveyors.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Help strengthen preventive maintenance and process-control practices.
• Follow safety procedures during machine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with injection molding processing and equipment maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with machine setup, mold changes, process adjustments, and defect resolution.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Comfortable working independently and prioritizing production and maintenance needs.

Preferred Experience:

• Medium-to-large tonnage injection molding equipment, approximately 140–950 tons.
• Toshiba/Shibaura injection molding machines.
• Robotics, hot-runner systems, and auxiliary equipment.
