Process Worker- On call

We are currently seeking reliable, flexible and physically fit On-Call Process Workers to join a busy ice production facility in Prospect.

This is an on-call opportunity, suitable for candidates who are flexible and available to accept shifts that may be offered the same day or the day prior.

We are looking for people who can be flexible with their availability and are prepared to step in when additional staff are required.

About the Role

• Day shift: 6:00am-2:00pm, Afternoon shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm
• Work is offered on an on-call basis, depending on operational requirements.
• Shifts may be offered the same day or the day before.
• Must be flexible and able to accept shifts at short notice.
• Work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 6-8°C.
• The role involves standing for extended periods.
• Regular lifting, bending, reaching and pallet stacking is required.
• The work can be repetitive and physically demanding.
• Suitable cold-weather protective clothing/PPE will be required.

Key Duties

• Working on a production conveyor belt.
• Handling and processing products.
• Stacking products safely onto pallets.
• Performing repetitive lifting, bending and manual handling.
• Following food safety and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
• Working as part of a fast-paced production team.
• Supporting the production team as required.

About You

• Must be flexible and available for short-notice shifts.
• Comfortable accepting shifts offered the same day or the day prior.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work.
• Comfortable working in a 6-8°C environment.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
• Strong work ethic and good attention to detail.
• Previous production, food manufacturing or warehouse experience is advantageous.
• Must have reliable transport to Prospect for early morning starts.

• $33.50 per hour for morning shifts and $38 for afternoon shifts
• Monday to Friday day shift opportunities
• 6:00am-2:00pm, 2pm-10 pm

This role is best suited to candidates who do not require fixed shifts and can be contacted at short notice. You may receive an offer for a shift the day before or, depending on operational requirements, on the same day.
