As a Processing Assistant, you will support the loan origination process by ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with industry regulations, and seamless client communication. Duties

• Assist in gathering and organizing loan documentation, including contracts, escrow papers, and credit analysis reports
• Support loan officers by verifying borrower information and ensuring compliance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act), TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure), and other federal regulations
• Enter data accurately into Encompass or similar mortgage servicing platforms using 10-key typing and basic math skills
• Help review loan files for completeness and adherence to industry standards such as FNMA guidelines and fair housing regulations
• Communicate effectively with clients via phone or email to collect missing information or clarify documentation needs
• Support the underwriting team by preparing initial loan packages for review, ensuring all required documents are included
• Maintain organized records of all loan processing activities, including internal communication logs and client files

Experience

While prior experience in loan origination or mortgage processing is not required, candidates should possess a strong interest in financial services and lending. Ideal applicants will demonstrate:

• Basic knowledge of banking or financial regulations such as TILA, TRID, Fair Housing laws, and mortgage compliance standards
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for document preparation and communication purposes
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform basic math calculations accurately
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Effective internal communication skills to collaborate with team members and support client needs
• Willingness to learn industry-specific software like Encompass or equivalent mortgage platforms
• A proactive attitude towards understanding industry knowledge of mortgages, loan processing procedures, and regulatory compliance

The Breakfast Company opened its first store in Chancellorsville, Indiana on January 16th, 2018. The Breakfast Company was founded by Doris Kline Maples who began her career in the restaurant industry in 1993 when she was hired by her good friend and mentor, Pete Avgerinos.
In 1993, Pete, along with his wife Debora, were the owners of Elegance Restaurant in Browns burg, Indiana. Several years later, Pete and Debora would open the first Flap Jacks Pancake House in the State of Indiana on the east side of Browns burg.

Doris had moved on but never lost contact with the Avgerinos family. Upon returning to the Browns burg area in early 2000, Doris, now married and the mother of her first child, began serving at Flap Jacks on the weekends to make extra money. Family has always been very important to Doris. Working as a server on the weekends, she quickly found a second family with her regulars. Customers have always meant more to Doris than just a paycheck.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
