Location: St. Vincent de Paul - Jackson Warehouse Processing Center – Jackson, WI

Classification: Full-Time, Part Time, Hourly

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 6am-3:30pm, Closed Weekends

St. Vincent de Paul of Washington County (SVDPWC) is a nonprofit organization committed to serving neighbors in need through community-driven support, donations, and volunteerism. Our thrift stores help fund critical outreach and provide direct assistance to those experiencing hardship. We are a mission-driven team dedicated to compassion, dignity, and practical help.

Position Summary:

SVDPWC is seeking dependable, hardworking Processing Associates to join our Processing Center team. This is a full-time, fast-paced, physical position for someone who enjoys staying busy, working as part of a team, and taking pride in getting the job done. The Processing Center handles a wide variety of donated merchandise, and team members may be trained to work in several different areas. This position helps turn donated goods into resources that support our thrift stores and our mission throughout Washington County.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandise Processing & Preparation:

• Sort donated merchandise by type, condition, and quality.
• Price merchandise in a variety of departments.
• Process clothing, shoes, accessories, household goods, linens, books, toys, and other donated items.
• Prepare processed merchandise for shipment to SVDPWC thrift stores.
• Work as a runner to keep production areas supplied and product moving efficiently.

Warehouse, Recycling & Production Support:

• Bale clothing and other recyclable materials.
• Organize warehouse and production areas to support efficient workflow.
• Load, unload, stack, and move merchandise and product as needed.
• Assist in other processing and warehouse areas as operational needs require.

Safety & Equipment:

• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Learn to safely operate equipment, including a forklift, as assigned and trained.
• Follow production goals, quality standards, and established safety procedures.
• Perform repetitive physical tasks safely and consistently.

Qualifications:

• Dependable and prepared to report to work ready to contribute.
• Strong work ethic and comfortable staying active throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willing to learn different jobs, departments, and processing functions.
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Able to follow production goals, quality standards, and safety procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and remain active for most of the work shift.
• Ability to work at a consistent, fast-paced production speed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to frequently lift and reach with both arms overhead.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and move merchandise throughout the workday.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks safely and consistently.
