Processing Manager

Southside Processing Inc. is a custom seafood processing facility currently seeking a full-time Processing Manager. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, experienced, active and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and oversee all processing and production activities, scheduling according to priorities and quality standards.
• Manage the schedule and working hours of a crew of 30-60 people.
• Enforce general plant rules, GMPs, and health and safety policies within the plant.
• Promote a healthy, efficient, friendly team culture that embraces our core company.
• Oversee and monitor all pre- and post-processing operations with Processing Supervisors and Quality Assurance department.
• Communicate all new developments and product specification changes to the crew.
• Complete and verify daily production records.
• Verify product labels from Quality Assurance department to ensure they meet customer specifications.
• Collaborate with QA Manager on any investigation, identification, and resolution of customer complaints.
• Assist with any recall investigation, identification, tracking and implementation.
• Approve the final release of product to shipping department.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Food processing experience (especially seafood processing) is an asset.
• Must be fluent in English (spoken and written). Bilingualism is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to direct the work of others.
• Can work well in a team environment and support fellow team members.
• Demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Work under pressure.
• Punctual, reliable, and responsible.
• Able to stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 50 lb.

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
