Job Purpose

To carry out the cleaning, preparation, grating, packing, and handling of coconut products while maintaining required quality, hygiene, food safety, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect coconuts for freshness, quality, and suitability for processing.
• Clean and prepare coconuts for further processing.
• Remove coconut shells and husks safely using the designated equipment and tools.
• Grate coconut according to the required size, texture, and customer specifications.
• Operate coconut grating and other processing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor the quality of grated coconut during processing.
• Weigh and pack grated coconut according to the specified quantity and packing standards.
• Ensure proper sealing, labeling, and storage of finished products.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the processing area, equipment, tools, and work surfaces.
• Follow company food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
• Prevent contamination, foreign materials, and product mix-ups during processing.
• Maintain proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished products.
• Report any quality issues, damaged materials, equipment problems, or wastage to the supervisor.
• Minimize product wastage and use raw materials efficiently.
• Follow daily production targets and instructions given by the supervisor.
• Maintain proper personal hygiene and wear the required PPE/uniform.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and movement of raw materials and finished products when required.
• Complete required production, cleaning, and quality records accurately.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties related to processing operations as assigned by management.
