What they need

About the Role

Grupo JBF Business Consulting is looking for a Procurement Analyst to join our team in London. You will support purchasing, supplier management, cost analysis, and procurement planning activities across client and internal projects.

This role is ideal for an analytical professional who can evaluate supplier data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support informed purchasing decisions. You will work closely with procurement specialists, finance teams, operational managers, project teams, suppliers, and client stakeholders to improve commercial performance and purchasing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse purchasing data, supplier expenditure, pricing trends, and procurement performance.
  • Prepare regular spend reports and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Support supplier selection and evaluation processes.
  • Compare supplier quotations, commercial terms, lead times, and service levels.
  • Assist with requests for quotation, requests for proposal, and tender documentation.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, contract, pricing, and purchasing records.
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed service and delivery standards.
  • Track purchase orders and investigate delays or discrepancies.
  • Support contract-renewal and supplier-review activities.
  • Work with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
  • Analyse historical spending patterns and forecast future procurement needs.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate suppliers or negotiate improved commercial terms.
  • Maintain procurement dashboards and key performance indicators.
  • Support negotiations by preparing pricing and market-analysis information.
  • Conduct supplier and market research for new products and services.
  • Assist with procurement risk assessments and supplier due diligence.
  • Monitor contract-expiry dates and other important commercial deadlines.
  • Support compliance with procurement policies and approval procedures.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for management and client stakeholders.
  • Participate in procurement-improvement and cost-optimisation projects.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, commercial analysis, supply chain, or a related position.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Experience analysing purchasing or supplier data.
  • Good understanding of procurement and supplier-management processes.
  • Ability to compare quotations and evaluate commercial terms.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience preparing reports and presenting findings clearly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage several procurement activities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Confidence communicating with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • A degree or professional qualification in procurement, supply-chain management, business, finance, economics, or a related discipline is preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Coupa, Ariba, or another procurement platform.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or another reporting and visualisation tool.
  • Familiarity with supplier-performance scorecards.
  • Experience supporting tendering and competitive bidding processes.
  • Understanding of contract-management principles.
  • Knowledge of supplier risk and due-diligence procedures.
  • Experience conducting spend-analysis projects.
  • Familiarity with category-management principles.
  • Experience working within consulting or professional services.
  • CIPS qualification or progress toward CIPS certification.
  • Understanding of sustainable and responsible procurement practices.

Mindset

You are commercially aware, analytical, and comfortable challenging unnecessary costs or inefficient purchasing practices. You rely on accurate data when making recommendations and investigate unusual spending patterns before drawing conclusions.

You communicate professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders, take responsibility for maintaining accurate procurement information, and understand that successful purchasing decisions must balance price, quality, risk, service, and long-term business requirements.
