Procurement Analyst

Job Purpose

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing procurement, industry pricing, and market data to provide accurate insights and support data-driven decision-making for management and internal stakeholders.

The role utilizes Microsoft tools, SAP, IBP, or other ERP systems to develop and maintain reports and dashboards, monitor petrochemical market trends, and transform complex data into meaningful business insights and presentations. The position also supports continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging digital, analytical, and AI tools to enhance reporting efficiency and overall business effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, consolidate, and analyze large volumes of procurement, pricing, and market data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Develop and maintain procurement reports, dashboards, trend analyses, and management presentations to support business decision-making.
• Analyze petrochemical market trends, industry pricing, and other relevant market indicators to identify key movements and provide actionable insights.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Power Query, and other advanced functions, for data analysis and reporting.
• Work with SAP, IBP, or other ERP systems to extract, manage, and analyze procurement and supply chain data.
• Transform complex and raw data into clear, meaningful insights and recommendations for management and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to support business requirements and data-driven initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing reports, processes, and analytical approaches to increase efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
• Leverage digital and AI tools to enhance data analysis, reporting, presentations, and other procurement-related activities.
• Proactively initiate new reports, analyses, or tools that provide value to the Procurement function and broader business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization or reporting tools would be an advantage.
• Experience with SAP, IBP, or other ERP systems is preferred.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, supply chain data, and market analysis.
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate analytical findings clearly to different stakeholders.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong planning, organization, and time-management skills.
• Proactive, curious, and willing to learn new tools, technologies, and ways of working.
• Ability to use AI and digital tools to improve work efficiency and develop new analytical solutions.
• Good presentation and communication skills would be an advantage.
