Procurement and Contracts Manager – UK, Oxford – Initial 6-Month Contract – Life Sciences Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, are looking for a Procurement and Contracts Manager to support the delivery their project based in Oxford. The company has grown to become a world leader in the development, manufacture and marketing of innovative pharmaceutical products to alleviate some of the world’s biggest health problems.

What You’ll Deliver

• Lead procurement and contract management activities for a major laboratory and office fit-out project.
• Manage procurement activities from tender through to contract award and purchase order issuance.
• Manage existing consultancy, supplier and construction contracts.
• Coordinate and manage supplier NDAs and confidentiality agreements.
• Ensure contract documentation is accurately maintained and controlled.

Experience required:

• Proven procurement and contract management experience within construction, fit-out or capital project environments.
• Demonstrable experience negotiating commercial agreements with suppliers and consultants.
• Excellent organisational skills, record keeping and document control capability.
• Laboratory, life sciences, pharmaceutical or R&D facility experience would be beneficial.
• Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts, including variations, instructions, amendments and delay notices.
