Procurement and Export-Import Manager

About the role

The Procurement and Export-Import Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process and overseeing international trade operations. This includes the strategic sourcing of industrial gas equipment and climate technology components, negotiating supplier contracts, and ensuring compliance with import and export regulations. The role is critical to maintaining supply chain efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory integrity in a highly technical and regulated industry.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for industrial gases, equipment, and climate technology systems.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with domestic and international suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance, including audits and compliance checks.
• Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to support production and project timelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to align procurement with business needs.
• Oversee all import and export activities, ensuring compliance with international trade laws and customs regulations.
• Prepare and manage documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Monitor shipment tracking, resolve delays, and manage customs clearance processes.
• Negotiate procurement and logistics contracts with favorable terms and risk mitigation clauses.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 15 years of experience in procurement and export-import operations, preferably in industrial or energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
