About the role

This role involves managing procurement activities, supplier relationships, inventory control, and logistics coordination. You will source and evaluate suppliers, issue purchase orders, monitor deliveries, coordinate warehouse operations, and manage local and international shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers, compare quotations and negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules
• Issue purchase orders, monitor delivery, follow up on urgent, delayed or outstanding orders and coordinate with suppliers on shortages, quality issues and replacements
• Coordinate the receiving, checking, labelling and proper storage of materials and finished products
• Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock checks
• Coordinate local and international shipments with freight forwarders and couriers
• Prepare relevant shipping and delivery documents and monitor shipment status
• Arrange deliveries according to customer and production schedules and ensure products are properly packed for shipment
• Maintain proper warehouse housekeeping and ensure compliance with company procedures and safety requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

About you

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Business Administration or related field
• 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
• Familiar with purchasing, inventory control, shipping and warehouse processes
• Experience in sourcing materials, components and basic knowledge of import/export procedures is an advantage
• Good negotiation, communication and coordination skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel and experience with ERP systems - NAVISION is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin
• Able to converse in Mandarin.
