Procurement and Logistics

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement and Logistics professional to manage sourcing, purchasing and logistics activities for a mining/construction contractor project in Melak, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply of goods and services to site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of materials, equipment and services required for site operations.
• Identify and develop reliable sources of supply for critical materials and equipment.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts with vendors/suppliers to achieve best value.
• Coordinate logistics and delivery of materials to site, ensuring timely arrival to support project schedules.
• Maintain vendor database, evaluate supplier performance and manage supplier relationships.
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts and procurement documentation in line with company policy.
• Monitor procurement budget and costs, working closely with Cost Control and Finance.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, approval matrices and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in procurement for a mining/construction contractor.
• Good knowledge of sources of supply for construction/mining materials and equipment.
• Strong negotiating skills and vendor management experience.
• Experience coordinating logistics/delivery to remote site locations.
• Good Excel and reporting skills; familiarity with procurement/ERP systems is an advantage.
• Willing to be based on-site in Melak.
