Procurement Assistant

Fruit Forever is looking for a Procurement Assistant to join our Sourcing team, supporting our Head of Sourcing (Citrus).

This is a great opportunity for someone who is commercially minded, organised and keen to develop a career in procurement and fresh produce. You'll work closely with growers, suppliers and colleagues across the business, gaining hands-on experience of sourcing, purchasing, supplier management and the fresh produce supply chain.

What you'll be doing

· Supporting the sourcing and purchasing of fresh produce.

· Raising and maintaining purchase orders and monitoring orders through to delivery.

· Liaising directly with growers and suppliers on pricing, availability, orders and delivery schedules.

· Monitoring outstanding orders and highlighting potential shortages or supply issues.

· Assisting with supplier pricing comparisons, cost analysis and commercial information.

· Maintaining accurate supplier, pricing and purchasing records.

· Supporting supplier onboarding and performance monitoring.

· Working closely with our Commercial, Logistics, Technical, Quality, Operations and Finance teams.

· Preparing procurement reports, trackers and analysis.

· Developing your knowledge of citrus products, growing regions, seasons and market conditions.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is bright, commercially aware, organised and confident dealing with people.

Skills required:

· Strong numerical and analytical skills.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Good communication and organisational skills.

· Confidence using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

· The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.

· A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, commercial administration or fresh produce would be an advantage, but we're equally interested in someone with the right aptitude and transferable skills who wants to build a career in procurement.

Experience of ERP or purchasing systems would be useful, while Spanish language skills would also be an advantage.

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
