Procurement Assistant

The Procurement Assistant supports the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the supply of materials, components, chemicals, consumables, and services required for PCB manufacturing operations. The role assists in ensuring timely delivery, competitive pricing, accurate purchasing documentation, and effective supplier coordination in accordance with company procurement and quality standards.

Candidates with a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing background are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing raw materials, chemicals, PCB components, consumables, and indirect materials required for production.
• Support supplier sourcing, quotation collection, price comparison, and supplier evaluation.
• Assist in negotiating pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other purchasing conditions with suppliers.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on order status and delivery schedules.
• Monitor outstanding POs and ensure materials are delivered according to production requirements.
• Coordinate closely with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Finance departments to support material requirements.
• Follow up on material shortages, delayed deliveries, quality issues, and other supplier-related matters.
• Assist in monitoring supplier performance, including quality, delivery, lead time, responsiveness, and pricing.
• Maintain updated supplier information, quotation records, purchase orders, and other procurement documentation.
• Assist in identifying alternative suppliers and materials to minimize supply chain risks.
• Support cost-saving, supplier development, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure procurement activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
• Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned by the Manager.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 1–3 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing industry.

• Candidates with PCB manufacturing experience and knowledge of PCB materials, chemicals, components, and manufacturing processes are highly preferred.

• Experience in supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, purchase order processing, and supplier follow-up.

• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Good analytical, communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up on outstanding matters.

• Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Mandarin/Chinese-speaking candidates are preferred for supplier and internal communication.

• Strong follow-up skills and the ability to maintain good supplier relationships.
