Procurement Assistant/Executive

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or related construction support role
• Knowledge in Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) works and construction projects is required/advantageous
• Familiar with construction materials, M&E equipment, and site coordination processes
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (preferred for supplier communication)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Familiar with purchase order processing and documentation
• Strong communication, coordination and negotiation support skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under tight deadlines
• Willing to work in a project-based and fast-paced environment

Job Descriptions:

• Assist Lead Procurement in sourcing materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, and assist in supplier evaluation
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites
• Maintain and update procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases
• Follow up on order status, delivery schedules, and resolve basic supply issues
• Liaise with project/site teams on material requirements and delivery coordination
• Assist in tender documentation and procurement reporting
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
• Support inventory tracking and stock monitoring when required
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time
