Procurement Associate

Role Overview

This position will support procurement and sourcing activities for materials and resources required for engineering development and testing. The role requires a procurement professional who can manage purchase orders, source materials quickly, work with suppliers, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities and assigned Statements of Work
• Create and establish purchase orders
• Source materials and conduct competitive supplier bids
• Manage supplier performance and on-time delivery
• Manage requirements through the Ariba system
• Assess supplier risks and recommend appropriate sourcing options
• Maintain procurement information and SOW dashboards
• Communicate risks and opportunities with leadership and team members
• Support process improvement, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of relevant purchasing experience, OR 7+ years of relevant experience without a degree
• Strong purchasing/procurement and supplier management experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong sourcing, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
• Must be able to work fully onsite in Winston-Salem, NC

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading or supporting projects
• Kaizen or continuous improvement experience
• Experience with Ariba or similar procurement systems
• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or development environments

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Experience:

• Engineering Procurement : 5 years (Required)
• Ariba or similar procurement systems: 3 years (Required)
• supplier performance and purchase orders: 5 years (Required)
