Procurement Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Executive / Buyer to manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including supplier sourcing, purchase order management, cost optimization, and stakeholder coordination. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of goods and services, negotiate favorable commercial terms, maintain compliance with procurement policies, and support operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review purchase requests from different departments
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, request quotations (RFQs) and compare offers
• Negotiate prices, terms, and lead times
• Convert approved requisitions into purchase orders and ensure accuracy of details (item description, pricing, quantity, delivery date)
• Release purchase orders to suppliers in line with company policies
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers and resolve issues such as delays, quality problems, or order discrepancies
• Negotiate better prices and payment terms and identify opportunities for savings without compromising quality
• Ensure purchases follow company policies and regulatory requirements and maintain proper records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements
• Work closely with requestors, finance, warehouse, and logistics teams and update stakeholders on order status and delivery schedules
• Track order fulfillment and supplier performance and prepare reports on spending, savings, and procurement activities

About you

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
• Ability to analyze quotations and contracts
• ERP / Procurement Systems Proficiency (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Strategic Planning capability
• Strong Communication and Coordination Skills
• Decision-Making Ability
• Knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supply chain management
• Business Ethics and Integrity
