Procurement Category Manager

About the role

Own and manage the Indirect Services procurement category, including Marketing, IT, Logistics, Aftersales and other business services. Lead end-to-end sourcing and tender processes (RFP/RFQ/RFI), from requirement scoping through to supplier selection and contract negotiation. Build and manage relationships with a diverse supplier base (e.g. agencies, vendors, service providers), ensuring performance, value, and continuous improvement. Act as a trusted business partner to internal stakeholders, providing commercial advice and delivering effective procurement solutions. Operate as a hands-on, standalone role, combining strategic thinking with direct execution.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the Indirect Services procurement category, including Marketing, IT, Logistics, Aftersales and other business services
• Lead end-to-end sourcing and tender processes (RFP/RFQ/RFI), from requirement scoping through to supplier selection and contract negotiation
• Build and manage relationships with a diverse supplier base (e.g. agencies, vendors, service providers), ensuring performance, value, and continuous improvement
• Act as a trusted business partner to internal stakeholders, providing commercial advice and delivering effective procurement solutions
• Drive cost optimisation and value creation across indirect spend categories
• Establish and improve procurement processes, governance, and compliance standards
• Support cross-functional projects and business initiatives from a procurement and commercial perspective
• Oversee vehicle operations including registration, insurance, servicing, maintenance, incident management, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure optimal usage and cost efficiency
• Manage vehicle asset lifecycle and reporting, including tracking, auditing, transfers, and final disposal or sale, ensuring compliance with financial, legal, and asset management requirements

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing or a related discipline
• 5–10 years' experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management, ideally across indirect services (e.g. marketing, IT, agencies, logistics, or business services)
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end sourcing and tender processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ), including supplier evaluation, commercial negotiation, and contract management
• Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated track record of delivering cost optimisation and value creation outcomes
• Experience operating in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and direct execution
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively across functions and support senior leadership
• Strong capability in managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines within a dynamic business environment
• Solid understanding of procurement governance, contracts, and compliance frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and ownership mindset
