Procurement Category Manager

The Newell Group is leading a confidential search for a Manager, Parts Procurement with an established industrial equipment and aftermarket business.

This hybrid role is preferably based in southern Crestview, Wisconsin Area and will lead approximately 10 employees across two small teams, primarily technical buyers with some strategic sourcing responsibility.

The categories include pumps, valves, seals, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical components, mixers, and related industrial parts.

The organization is shifting toward a more regional procurement model to better support its stakeholders.

• We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can develop the team, strengthen supplier delivery, resolve purchasing issues, and improve parts availability, cost, and lead times.
• Strong operational purchasing and customer service experience are especially important.
• Strategic sourcing, lower-cost-country sourcing, and shared-services experience are helpful.

We are looking for:

• 5+ years of relevant procurement experience , with 2–5+ years managing people
• Leadership of buyers or procurement teams, ideally across multiple locations.
• Industrial components, spare parts, aftermarket, machinery, or technical distribution experience.
• Strong transactional purchasing skills: order execution, expediting, shortages, lead times, and supplier delivery.
• Some strategic sourcing, negotiation, supplier development, and cost reduction experience.
• ERP proficiency and evidence of improving purchasing processes.

The role includes travel to other company locations and occasional international travel.
