Procurement Director

The Procurement Director is responsible for overseeing the company’s overall procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality, compliance, and strong supplier relationships. The role develops procurement strategies, manages supplier negotiations, and ensures that purchasing activities support the company’s operational and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company goals.
• Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, from sourcing and supplier selection to purchase order issuance and delivery.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality products, and favorable contract terms.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and business partners.
• Monitor procurement costs, budgets, market trends, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, approval processes, contract terms, and applicable regulations.
• Lead, manage, and develop the procurement team to ensure efficient purchasing operations.
• Coordinate with different departments to determine purchasing requirements, inventory needs, and delivery schedules.
• Review supplier contracts, quotations, purchase requests, and procurement reports for accuracy and approval.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost savings, supplier performance, delivery timelines, and procurement efficiency.
• Assess supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to prevent delays and operational disruptions.
• Prepare and present procurement reports, budget updates, and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure proper documentation and transparency in all procurement transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
• At least 8–10 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing, with significant experience in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost control.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain operations, and procurement compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with senior management.
