Procurement Engineer

About the role

Support sourcing activities for Engineering and HVM projects involving mechanical and electrical components. Interpret technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements to ensure accurate sourcing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support sourcing activities for Engineering and HVM projects involving mechanical and electrical components
• Interpret technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements to ensure accurate sourcing decisions
• Evaluate suppliers from both technical & commercial perspectives prior decide the business award
• Identify and mitigate technical and supply risks, particularly for critical or long-lead items
• Drive continuous cost reduction through supplier consolidation, alternate sourcing, value engineering
• Ensure all sourcing activities comply with internal policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to process improvements in sourcing workflows, supplier onboarding, and digital procurement tools

About you

• Degree Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related disciplines)
• 2-3 years of Engineering sourcing experience is preferred
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and engineering documentation
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge
• Collaborative team player with a high degree of accountability
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
