Job Summary

We are hiring a Purchase / Procurement Executive with a civil engineering background to support the purchase of construction materials, equipment and services.

The role involves sourcing suppliers, comparing quotations, preparing purchase orders and coordinating deliveries to project sites. Candidates should have a good understanding of construction materials, technical specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

Freshers with strong technical knowledge and an interest in construction procurement are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Review BOQs, drawings and technical specifications to understand material requirements.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers for cement, steel, sand, aggregates, bricks, blocks, tiles, fittings and other construction materials.
• Request quotations and prepare comparison statements for approval.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare and process purchase orders following the required approvals.
• Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to plan material purchases and deliveries.
• Follow up with suppliers and transporters to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with site and quality teams to verify received materials against specifications.
• Maintain supplier records, quotations, purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Work with stores teams to monitor stock availability and prevent material shortages.
• Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery challans.
• Coordinate with accounts teams regarding supplier payments.
• Prepare purchase trackers, procurement MIS reports and supplier performance records.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow procurement procedures.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of construction materials and their applications.
• Ability to understand BOQs, civil drawings and material specifications.
• Good communication, negotiation and supplier coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Ability to compare quotations and maintain accurate purchase records.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to coordinate multiple material requirements and delivery schedules.
• Willingness to visit project sites and supplier locations as required.
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement software is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of GST and purchase invoice documentation is an advantage.

Eligibility

• B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• 0–3 years of experience in purchase, procurement or related construction activities.
• Freshers may apply; entry-level candidates will work under guidance.
• Experienced candidates should be able to handle assigned procurement activities independently.
• Exposure to site coordination, quantity estimation or construction billing is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
