Procurement Engineer

We are looking for a Procurement Engineer – MEP with strong knowledge and experience in both Electrical and Mechanical systems to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle procurement activities for Electrical and Mechanical MEP materials, equipment, and services.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and suitable quality.
• Prepare purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.
• Coordinate with the Engineering, Projects, Site, and Accounts teams regarding material requirements and procurement schedules.
• Review technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and material requirements before purchasing.
• Ensure procured materials comply with project specifications, consultant requirements, and approved material submittals.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Monitor material delivery and coordinate with site teams to avoid project delays.
• Maintain proper procurement records, supplier databases, quotations, and purchase documentation.
• Identify alternative materials/suppliers where appropriate while maintaining required quality and specifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in MEP procurement within a contracting or construction company.
• Good technical knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical MEP materials and systems.
• Knowledge of UAE suppliers, market prices, and local procurement practices is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand MEP drawings, BOQs, specifications, and material submittals.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• UAE experience is preferred**.**

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with practical experience in MEP procurement, particularly those who can independently handle both Electrical and Mechanical procurement, are highly preferred.
