Procurement Engineer

About the role

Our company is committed to providing engineering consulting services and project management services to our clients, both domestic and international. We are thriving to provide comprehensive engineering solutions for new facility setups, retrofits, or the re-establishment of existing facilities.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated, committed professionals and team players for our Penang/KL office to join us as Procurement Engineer. Scope of service includes providing support and assistance to the Commercial Manager in the following manner:

• Sourcing of sub-contractors and suppliers
• Monitor and keep track of project expenses.
• Evaluate sub-contractors' and suppliers’ price.
• Prepare costing and budget.
• Produce relevant monthly reports
• Ensure timely closure of all main contracts and sub-contracts final accounts.
• Support the site team
• Any other tasks assigned from time to time.
• Willing to travel to cover any projects within Malaysia to support the project.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in supply chain management, quantity surveying, construction management, or similar.
• Fresh graduates with positive attitude, willingness to learn, analytical and extremely thorough in details are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Excellent communication skills, both oral & written.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Value added for proficiency in Chinese language.
• Willing to be posted to support project in Singapore
