About the role

The Senior Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for mechanical and electrical materials, equipment, and services, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery for power service and construction projects. The role involves collaborating closely with engineering, project management, finance, and logistics teams to align procurement activities with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers
• Prepare and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQ)
• Negotiate commercial and technical terms
• Issue and track purchase orders
• Monitor supplier performance
• Analyze procurement data
• Mitigate risks in the supply chain
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement policies and procedures

About you

• Demonstrated ability in supplier evaluation and management, including assessing technical capability, quality, and reliability
• Experience handling procurement documentation and processes, including Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and purchase orders
• Strong analytical skills for cost analysis, bid comparison, and data-driven decision-making
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, negotiation, and supplier relationship management
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering materials, equipment, and standards relevant to power projects
• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain roles within engineering, construction, or power industries
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage
• Proficiency with procurement and ERP systems, and strong MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Ability to work on-site in Jakarta, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of relevant contracts, commercial terms, and compliance requirements; professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are a plus
