Job Title- Procurement Engineer

Job Summary

The Procurement Engineer – Fit-Out is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, finishes, products, equipment, and subcontractor services required for interior fit-out projects. The role involves coordinating with design, engineering, commercial, site, and project teams to ensure materials are procured on time, within budget, and according to approved specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, material schedules, and approved design documents to identify procurement requirements.
• Prepare and maintain procurement schedules aligned with project timelines and site requirements.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and specialist vendors for fit-out works.
• Obtain and compare quotations, prepare commercial comparison sheets, and negotiate prices and payment terms.
• Issue RFQs, purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and other procurement documentation.
• Ensure all purchased materials comply with approved samples, specifications, brands, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, designers, engineers, quantity surveyors, and site teams regarding material approvals and technical requirements.
• Follow up on material submittals, samples, approvals, manufacturing, delivery, and installation schedules.
• Monitor long-lead items and take proactive action to avoid project delays.
• Coordinate logistics, delivery schedules, storage requirements, and material inspections.
• Evaluate supplier performance regarding cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.
• Maintain procurement trackers, supplier databases, purchase records, and cost reports.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and alternative materials without compromising quality or design intent.
• Assist the commercial team with cost analysis, variations, and procurement-related financial reporting.
• Resolve supplier and subcontractor issues related to quality, delivery, quantities, specifications, and commercial terms.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project contracts, and applicable HSE and quality requirements.

Typical Fit-Out Materials

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction, Procurement, or a related field.
• Typically 3–7 years of procurement experience, preferably within interior fit-out or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, suppliers, subcontractors, and construction processes.
• Experience in preparing RFQs, quotation comparisons, purchase orders, and procurement reports.
• Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, BOQs, and material schedules.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and procurement/ERP systems.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement packages and meet project deadlines.

Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
