Procurement Engineer

Core Purpose

Lead Procurement deliver best-in-class procurement performance — on cost, quality, and delivery while building the vendor base and team capability for 3x revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic Procurement Leadership

• Own the complete procurement lifecycle: PR → RFQ → Negotiation → PO → GRN → Payment
• Develop and execute a category-wise sourcing strategy aligned to company growth plans
• Drive minimum 5% cost savings annually through strategic negotiation and vendor development
• Build and maintain an Approved Vendor List (AVL) across 5 categories — domestic and import
• Establish Annual Rate Contracts (ARCs) with key vendors for price stability

B. Engineering Procurement

• Lead procurement of custom fabricated components, machined parts, instrumentation, and capital equipment
• Partner with Engineering team to review technical specifications before RFQ — prevent re-work
• Manage drawing-controlled purchases with NDA vendors — full confidentiality protocols
• Ensure pre-dispatch inspection for all Cat A (critical) engineering items
• Deliver end-to-end engineering procurement cycles within 10 working days

C. Import Procurement & Vendor Management

• Manage import procurement under both LC (Letter of Credit) and Advance Payment models
• Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, and bank for smooth import clearance
• Source and qualify new overseas vendors via Indiamart and industry networks
• Manage all import documentation: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, Test Certs
• Monitor forex exposure and coordinate with Finance on timing of international payments

D. Team Leadership & Process Governance

• Conduct daily procurement huddles, weekly reviews, and monthly performance sessions
• Enforce 100% SOP compliance — zero unapproved deviations
• Manage all CAPA for mis-procurement incidents with root cause analysis
• Present monthly and quarterly procurement performance to CEO

E. Cost Intelligence & Reporting

• Build and maintain a Should-Cost model for top 20 items by spend value
• Track and report cost savings vs. first-quoted price — monthly to CEO
• Prepare monthly KPI dashboard, vendor scorecards, and budget vs. actual reports
• Identify procurement risks and maintain a live risk register

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
