Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to manage procurement activities, source suppliers, evaluate technical and commercial offers, and ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and project requirements to identify suitable materials and equipment.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), purchase orders, and other procurement documents.
• Evaluate technical and commercial quotations and prepare comparison sheets for management approval.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, finance, and site teams to confirm procurement requirements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor purchase orders, shipments, deliveries, and outstanding materials to ensure timely project execution.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, alternative materials, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure all purchased materials comply with approved specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and documentation.
• Resolve supplier-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, and discrepancies in delivered materials.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approved budgets, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and supplier performance evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within contracting, construction, engineering, or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and purchasing practices.
• Experience reviewing technical specifications, BOQs, and commercial quotations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement management systems is an advantage.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement requirements and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid Qatar driving licence is an advantage.
