Job Summary

Zeedesign Engineering Private Limited is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to manage procurement activities for engineering projects, particularly in the Oil & Gas, EPC, and Onshore/Offshore sectors. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing vendors, obtaining quotations, evaluating offers, coordinating with technical teams, and ensuring timely procurement of project materials and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for engineering projects.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors.
• Obtain and compare quotations, prepare bid comparison statements, and support purchase order placement.
• Review technical specifications, material requisitions, and purchase requirements in coordination with engineering teams.
• Coordinate with vendors for delivery schedules, quality documentation, and commercial terms.
• Monitor purchase orders, material delivery, and supplier performance.
• Maintain vendor databases, procurement trackers, and purchase documentation.
• Ensure cost-effective procurement while meeting project quality and delivery requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in procurement, preferably in engineering, EPC, or Oil & Gas projects.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, RFQs, technical and commercial bid comparisons, and purchase orders.
• Familiarity with engineering materials, technical specifications, and vendor documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/procurement systems.
• Strong negotiation, coordination, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to Onshore and Offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Experience handling engineering equipment, piping materials, valves, fittings, and other project-related materials, as applicable.
