Procurement Engineer (Cost Development)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Procurement Promotion Engineer (Cost Development) responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating procurement activities to meet project timelines and cost targets. The role involves analyzing parts costs, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost optimization initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans and implements development schedule with Procurement Team and supplier to meet the target activities
• Coordinates the procurement activities and concerns with other departments to meet project timelines
• Tracks project updates and provide regular project status reports
• Analyze parts cost to optimize cost, improve process and enhance supplier competitiveness
• Prepares and issues request for quotation, drawing, target cost and forecasts to collect quotation from suppliers
• Promotes cost down activities thru collaborative activities with supplier like theoretical value procurement, cost analysis, and negotiation
• Negotiates and analyzes the quotation issued by supplier to meet the target cost
• Reports and reviews quarterly the parts cost fluctuation to monitor and strictly control the cost
• Manages and resolve supplier performance issue
• Updates budget and expense based in given target for each month

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of BS Industrial Engineering or any Engineering courses
• At least 1-2 years of Procurement/Purchasing experience
• Experience in handling supplier category in metal stamping, welding and plastic molding
• Knowledge in Supplier improvement, Theoretical Value Production (TVP), Kaizen, Project Management, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Cost Management / Cost Analysis and Cost Control
• Basic knowledge in drawing interpretation QC Tools
• Proficiency in MS Applications (PPT, Excel)
