Procurement Engineer - Facade

The Procurement Engineer – Facade will be responsible for all procurement activities related to facade fabrication within the ALC in-house facade factory. This role ensures timely sourcing, cost-effective purchasing, and quality compliance of all facade materials – aluminum extrusions, glass, sealants, gaskets, hardware, anchors, and accessories.

This role is the critical link between the Wadan design/estimation team and the ALC factory, ensuring materials are procured on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and authority requirements. The position requires deep knowledge of UAE and international supply chains, facade systems, and material performance standards.

Key Responsibility:

Vendor Sourcing & Management

· Identify and evaluate suppliers for aluminum extrusions, glass, sealants, gaskets, hardware, anchors, facade accessories

· Maintain and update approved vendor list for facade materials

· Conduct supplier visits, factory audits, and performance evaluations

· Vendor diversification to mitigate supply chain risks

· Supplier performance tracking (on-time delivery, quality)

RFQ & Commercial Evaluation

· Issue RFQs with clear technical specifications and BOQs (from Estimation team)

· Commercial evaluation of quotations (price, lead time, payment terms)

· Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules

· Procurement cost savings target (≥5% vs. budget)

Supply Chain Management

· Deep knowledge of UAE and international supply chains (Europe, China, India, GCC)

· Coordinate material deliveries with factory production schedule

· Track shipments, customs clearance, and delivery to factory

· Mitigate supply chain risks (lead time, logistics, geopolitical)

• Zero procurement-related production delays

Material Compliance & Quality

· Ensure materials comply with project specifications (AAMA, ASTM, C5-M marine)

· Review material submittals and test certificates

· Coordinate with Wadan Quality Engineer on material inspections

• Manage warranty and quality documentation from suppliers

Coordination & Reporting

· Coordinate with Wadan: Estimation (MTOs/BOQs), Design (specs), Quality (inspections)

· Coordinate with ALC: Factory Manager on production schedule, Procurement Manager on process

· Prepare procurement status reports for management (weekly)

· Prepare and manage purchase orders and supply contracts

Flag material shortages and risks early

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
