Procurement Engineer MEP

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer – MEP to manage end-to-end procurement of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) materials and equipment for hospital construction and infrastructure projects. The candidate should have strong experience in vendor management, tendering, commercial negotiations, cost control and timely material procurement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement of MEP materials, equipment and systems for hospital construction projects.

Handle procurement of HVAC equipment, electrical panels, cables, lighting, plumbing materials, pumps, valves and firefighting systems.

Prepare and float RFQs, review technical specifications and evaluate vendor quotations.

Prepare comparative statements, conduct price negotiations and finalize purchase orders.

Coordinate with project, engineering and site teams to understand material requirements and procurement schedules.

Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.

Review BOQs, technical submittals, material specifications and commercial terms.

Monitor material delivery schedules and ensure timely availability of materials at project sites.

Manage procurement budgets, cost estimates, rate analysis and cost-saving initiatives.

Ensure materials comply with project specifications, quality standards and applicable regulations.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve procurement-related issues.

Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, delivery documentation and vendor performance reports.
