Procurement Engineer / Procurement Subcontract

Job Description

for Procurement Engineer

• Prepare and issue RFQ/RFP to qualified vendors based on project requirements.
• Source, pre-qualify and evaluate new and existing vendors.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Project Teams for technical clarification and quotation evaluation.
• Review and compare vendor quotations, including technical compliance, price, delivery schedule and payment terms.
• Conduct commercial negotiations with vendors regarding price, scope of work, delivery and contractual conditions.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders/Subcontracts and follow up vendor acknowledgement.
• Monitor and expedite vendor production, documentation, inspection and delivery schedules.
• Follow up vendor documents such as drawings, datasheets, MTC, certificates and inspection documents.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Engineering, Logistics and Project Teams regarding vendor issues and delivery.
• Monitor procurement status, outstanding items, delivery dates and potential delays.
• Check vendor invoices and supporting documents against PO/contract and actual progress.
• Prepare procurement status, expediting and weekly procurement reports.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors and internal departments to resolve procurement issues

• Subcontractor sourcing & pre-qualification
• RFQ/RFP and quotation evaluation
• Commercial negotiation and subcontract preparation
• Coordinate subcontract scope and requirements
• Monitor subcontractor progress and manpower
• Review progress claims and supporting documents
• Subcontract status and reporting

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Procurement or a related field

• 3–5 years of experience in Procurement, preferably in EPC, heavy industrial, Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical or Power Plant projects.

• Experience in vendor sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, purchasing and expediting.

• Good understanding of engineering specifications, datasheets and drawings.

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and Excel.

• Experience working with vendors in Oil & Gas, Power Plant, EPC, LNG, Petrochemical or Industrial Construction projects is preferred.
