Procurement Engineer/Civil

Job Description –

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement & Sourcing
• Review material requisitions, BOQs, specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Source qualified suppliers and subcontractors based on project requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations.
• Prepare quotation comparison sheet and commercial evaluations.
• Strong Negotiation skills, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial conditions.
• Project Coordination
• Coordinate with Construction, Operations, Engineering, QA/QC, planning to understand project requirements.
• Develop procurement schedules aligned with project programs.
• Monitor critical and long lead materials.
• Ensure materials are available at site as per approved construction schedule.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery, inspection, documentation, and technical requirements.
• Vendor Management
• Identify, prequalify, and develop reliable suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on price, quality, delivery, services and compliance.
• Maintain an approved supplier database.
• Resolves supplier performance and delivery issues.
• Conduct supplier negotiations and, where required, supplier visits.
• Cost Control
• Achieve cost savings through competitive sourcing and negotiation.
• Monitor material price trends and market conditions.
• Identify alternative materials/suppliers without compromising project specifications.
• Maintain procurement cost reports and saving records.
• Support budget preparation and cost forecasting.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chian, Procurement Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of construction procurement experience, preferably in UAE.
• Experience with construction materials, subcontractors, and services.
• Good knowledge of procurement processes, commercial negotiations, and supplier management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
