Procurement ( Engineering)

About the role

To manage the end-to-end procurement process for engineering-related materials and equipment, working closely with the engineering, project management, and cost control teams to ensure procurement decisions align with project specifications, budget, and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and subcontractors for engineering materials and equipment, ensuring reliable and cost-competitive sourcing
• Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quantities, and delivery schedules
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining quality standards
• Work closely with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications and ensure procured materials and equipment meet project requirements
• Monitor delivery schedules and coordinate with logistics teams to ensure materials arrive on site on time and avoid project delays
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Assist the Cost Control team in tracking procurement spend against budget and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Verify that purchased materials and equipment meet required specifications and quality standards prior to acceptance

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in procurement within the engineering or construction industry
• Good understanding of engineering materials, equipment, and specifications relevant to construction projects
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement/ERP systems
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering, project, and finance teams
• A TOEIC score of 550 or above will be considered a special advantage
