PROCUREMENT EXECUTIVE

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Executive to join our team in a manufacturing company in Butterworth. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the procurement processes in the manufacturing operations. Your expertise in purchasing, inventory management and supplier relations will be crucial in driving operational efficiency and cost savings for the business.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, goods and services.
• Negotiate favourable contracts and terms with suppliers to maximise value for the company.
• Manage and maintain relationships with a network of reliable suppliers.
• Oversee the procurement team, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities to optimise stock holding.
• Analyse procurement data and generate reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Responsible for regular review & update the relevant SOP according to latest process.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in inventory management and cost optimisation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with procurement systems and technologies.
• Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
