Procurement Executive

About the role

A Procurement Executive role focused on sourcing and procuring materials, equipment and services based on project requirements, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing within approved budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment and services based on project requirements.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing, suitable specifications and delivery lead times.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers based on confirmed orders/purchase requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Source alternative products and suppliers when required due to pricing, availability or lead-time constraints.
• Maintain supplier database, price lists and purchasing records.
• Verify supplier quotations, invoices, Delivery Orders (DOs) and PO details.
• Monitor outstanding orders, backorders and delivery status to ensure timely deliveries according to timeline.
• Ensure purchases are within approved budgets/cost summaries.
• Handle warranty, defective items, returns and supplier-related issues.
• Perform other procurement and purchasing duties as assigned.

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant procurement/purchasing experience.
• Strong sourcing, negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Good numerical and commercial awareness.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/purchasing systems.
• Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple purchases concurrently.
• Able to work independently and follow up proactively.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in ELV, security systems, IT/networking, M&E, electrical, engineering or project-based industries is an advantage.
