Job Summary

We are looking for a Procurement Executive – Civil to manage the procurement of civil construction materials, equipment, and services for infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, quotation management, commercial negotiation, purchase orders, material follow-up, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of civil construction materials for infrastructure projects.
• Review project requirements, BOQs, drawings, specifications, and material schedules.
• Source materials including cement, TMT steel, structural steel, aggregates, sand, blocks, pipes, fittings, waterproofing materials, construction chemicals, RMC, formwork materials, and other civil items.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Obtain quotations and prepare Comparative Statements (CS).
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, freight, taxes, and other commercial terms.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) after obtaining necessary approvals.
• Coordinate with project/site, engineering, QA/QC, stores, accounts, and planning teams.
• Follow up with vendors for timely delivery as per project requirements.
• Ensure materials meet approved specifications and quality requirements.
• Coordinate material inspection and approval with the QA/QC team.
• Monitor market rates and provide inputs on price trends.
• Develop alternate vendors to ensure competitive pricing and uninterrupted supply.
• Maintain vendor database, quotation records, POs, delivery records, and procurement documentation.
• Resolve vendor issues related to quality, quantity, delivery, billing, and commercial terms.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and approval procedures.
• Support cost-saving and value-engineering initiatives.

Qualification

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in civil procurement/purchase.
• Experience with an infrastructure, EPC, construction, or real-estate company will be preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of civil construction materials.
• Good vendor network and supplier development skills.
• Strong negotiation and commercial evaluation skills.
• Experience in RFQ, quotation comparison, CS preparation, and PO processing.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/procurement systems.
• Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work under project deadlines and handle multiple requirements.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in procurement for roads, bridges, buildings, industrial projects, EPC projects, or large infrastructure projects will be preferred.
