Procurement Executive

About the role

The Procurement Executive supports procurement activities by handling purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, and maintaining inventory records. This role ensures smooth purchasing operations by utilizing catering software for efficient inventory and purchasing management.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of supplies
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery schedules, and resolve any issues
• Verify invoices against received goods and coordinate with the accounts team for payments
• Compare supplier prices and provide cost analysis reports to the manager
• Maintain procurement records and generate reports for management review
• Handle import/export processes, including logistics coordination and customs documentation (K1 Draft and HS Code)
• Negotiate container pricing and advise management on cost-effective options
• Coordinate with outlets, sales team, warehouse and overseas suppliers
• Monitor stock availability, incoming shipments and backorders
• Handle defective claims and related documentation with supplier

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management in the retail and wholesale industry
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SQL software
• Experience in import/export procedures and customs regulations is an advantage
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
