Procurement Executive

We are looking for an experienced Procurement professional to manage sourcing, vendor development, purchase activities and timely procurement of materials required for steel fabrication and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, consumables, engineering items, hardware and other plant requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Obtain quotations, compare commercial offers and negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders in accordance with approved requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Projects, Stores, Quality and Accounts teams for material requirements.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery commitments and material quality.
• Develop alternate sources and maintain an effective vendor base.
• Track purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries.
• Maintain procurement records, MIS reports and vendor documentation.
• Support cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives.
• Handle commercial negotiations and resolve vendor-related issues.
• Ensure procurement is carried out as per company policies and approved specifications.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or a relevant discipline.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in Procurement / Purchase, preferably in steel fabrication, engineering, manufacturing, PEB or industrial projects.
• Good knowledge of sourcing, vendor development, purchase processes and commercial negotiations.
• Experience in procurement of steel/raw materials, fabrication consumables, engineering items, hardware and plant materials will be preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication and vendor-management skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Purchase systems.
• Candidates who can independently handle procurement activities will be preferred.
• Male candidates preferred.
