Procurement Executive

About the role

A Procurement Executive sources and purchases solar components including PV modules, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, cables, and balance of system items based on project bills of materials. The role involves managing supplier relationships, import logistics, and procurement records while coordinating with project and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Source and buy solar components (PV modules, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, cables, BOS items) based on project BOMs
• Request, compare and evaluate quotations from local and overseas suppliers
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules
• Raise and track purchase orders through to delivery and invoice matching
• Coordinate with project and engineering teams on specs, quantities and timelines
• Manage import logistics (shipping, customs clearance and forwarders) for overseas orders
• Keep an approved vendor list and evaluate supplier performance
• Monitor stock levels and work with the warehouse to avoid shortages or overstock
• Track market prices and supply trends for key solar components
• Keep procurement records accurate and in line with company policy

About you

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field
• 1-2 years of procurement or purchasing experience, ideally in solar, EPC, electrical or construction
• Good negotiation and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Familiarity with import procedures and Incoterms
• Proficient in MS Excel; Autocount system experience is a plus
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects at once
