Procurement Executive – Packaging & Raw Materials

Location: Bhandup, Mumbai

Qualification: Any Graduate; Diploma in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Procurement Executive with experience in purchasing packaging materials and raw materials, preferably in the colour cosmetics industry. The candidate will be responsible for vendor management, purchase order processing, price negotiation, material sourcing, and coordination with internal departments to ensure timely availability of materials.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Vendor Management

• Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and track deliveries.
• Manage existing vendors for pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor details, and procurement reports.

2. Raw Material Procurement

• Procure colour cosmetic raw materials.
• Collect and maintain COA, MSDS/SDS, and TDS documents from suppliers.
• Coordinate with R&D and QC for sample testing and approval before bulk procurement.
• Monitor shelf life and expiry dates to minimize dead stock and material wastage.
• Develop alternative suppliers for critical and imported raw materials.

3. Packaging Material Procurement

• Procure primary packaging materials such as lipstick cases, mascara containers, eyeshadow packaging, foundation packs, compacts, jars, bottles, tubes, and pumps.
• Purchase secondary packaging materials, including cartons, labels, and shrink sleeves.
• Verify packaging specifications, dimensions, and compatibility approvals before placing orders.
• Follow up with vendors on mould development and tooling for new packaging.
• Coordinate with suppliers for rejected materials, replacements, and quality-related issues.

4. Internal Coordination

• Coordinate with Production, Quality Control (QC), R&D, and Stores to ensure timely material availability.
• Follow up on goods receipt notes (GRNs) and resolve material discrepancies.
• Monitor pending orders and ensure timely delivery as per production requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or purchase operations.
• Good understanding of raw materials and packaging materials, preferably in colour cosmetics.
• Hands-on experience in purchase order processing and vendor management.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems or SAP will be an added advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and meet delivery timelines.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year

• Bhandup, Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
