About us

First Converting (M) Sdn. Bhd. was established in December 2007 with Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) approval from the Malaysian government. Besides, we have been ISO certified company under ISO9001:2015 certification since 2011 and obtained Innovation Management certification under Sirim in 2021. We also achieved PLWS certified by Malaysia Production Corporations (MPC) as Profit Sharing Organization with our employees. We have complete die-cut systems ranging from slitting (lathe and rewind type), multiple laminations, and various die-cut facilities operated in a properly controlled environment. Customized die cut capabilities are our specialization and our core competency is enhanced with highly experienced and qualified staff for the correct position and functionality. Continuous training is provided to strengthen their skill and professionalism continuously. Life-long learning is our philosophy for human capital development.

Qualifications & experience

• Proven work experience as a purchaser, purchasing agent or similar role
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (sourcing, evaluating and qualifying new supplier)
• Understanding of supply chain procedures and liaise with supplier
• Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
• Negotiation skills

Tasks & responsibilities

• Verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to databases & clarifying unclear items or product needs.
• Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price for existing products & services.
• Obtaining approval from respective requisitioning department PIC for meeting of the required specification.
• Obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items & recommending alternatives.
• Sourcing for potential supplier.
• Compare and evaluate solutions offers from suppliers.
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Review quality of purchased products & supplier performance.
• Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered & resolves shipments error with suppliers.
• Enter order details (e.g. supplier, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices for all existing suppliers.
• Ensure all invoices are sent to account payable for payment.
• Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses (for monthly total purchased & by item).
• Working together with Store to monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering new items as needed to keep the inventory fully stocked and supplied.
• Advice store executive if products required special storage condition.
