PROCUREMENT EXECUTIVE / PURCHASER

Job Summary/Benefits:

·       Salary - $2500 - $3800

·       Working days and hours – Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5.30pm, Sat 8.30am – 12.30pm

·       Location of work – Benoi

Job Responsibilities:

• Source maritime stores, provisions and spares from local and overseas suppliers.

·       Coordinate purchasing requirements with vessels and management.

·       Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors on pricing, quality and service.

·       Update purchase orders in the company costing system.

·       Maintain and update supplier and subcontractor vendor lists.

·       Maintain databases for shipyard consumables, stores and spares.

·       Prepare delivery documents and apply relevant repair permits.

·       Coordinate with ship agents, superintendents, subcontractors and repair teams.

·       Assist with quotations for ship stores, provisions and spare parts.

Requirements:

·         At least 1 year of experience in purchasing / merchandising function or in a similar role.
